About The Position

This role focuses on delivering specialized, evidence-based wound care treatments and dressing changes to accelerate patient recovery and prevent severe clinical complications. The nurse will optimize clinic efficiency by managing patient intake, preparing sterile treatment rooms, and assisting providers during advanced procedures. A key aspect of the role is preventing hospital readmissions by educating patients and caregivers on home wound management, infection risks, and lifestyle adjustments. The nurse will also enhance continuity of care by monitoring, documenting, and communicating precise changes in wound progression to the multidisciplinary medical team.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Cross accepted.
Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
OK or KS state licensure required relevant to where the employee works.
Knowledge and skill in writing prescriptions for the Physician as needed.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

Two (2) or more years’ of experience as an LPN/LVN, to include one (1) or more years in a skilled nursing facility or Long-Term Acute Care setting.
Wound care experience.
