About The Position
Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for its Pulmonary & Nephrology Pediatric Clinic. Located in Nashville, Tennessee, VUMC is a leading institution focused on patient care, education, and research. This role involves applying the nursing process to plan and implement patient care, including education and continuum of care planning. The nurse will communicate effectively with the healthcare team, collaborate on patient goals, and evaluate progress. Professional growth is encouraged through continuous learning activities aligned with Board of Nursing standards. The clinic operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with no holidays, weekends, or on-call duties. - LIC-Registered Nurse - Licensure-Others
- Relevant Work Experience
- 1 year experience
- Graduate of an approved discipline specific program

Responsibilities
- Applies the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning.
- Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team.
- Collaborates in establishing patient goals and evaluates progress to ensure effective outcomes.
- Furthers professional growth by engaging in learning activities according to the Board of Nursing standards.
- Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
- Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
- Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient's progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
- Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.
