About The Position

Provides direct patient care under the direction of a registered nurse, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, or physician. This role involves collecting data for patient assessment, administering medications, observing patients for adverse reactions, and educating patients and families. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will perform job duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and may triage patients, relay information, and carry out physician orders. Administrative/clerical duties in support of the clinical department may also be performed, along with plan of care interventions.

Requirements

• No experience required
• High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or higher required upon hire
• LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse and eligible to practice in the state of Kentucky required upon hire
• BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 45 days of employment in this position

Responsibilities

• May carry out orders by the physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant as it pertains to the needs of the patients.
• May perform administrative/clerical duties in support of assigned clinical department.
• May perform plan of care interventions.
