About The Position

Centerstone (formerly known as Burrell) is seeking dedicated Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Registered Nurses (RNs) to join their collaborative team in Independence, Missouri. This role involves providing direct nursing care and support to individuals experiencing mental health disorders and/or substance use disorders. Responsibilities include assessing client needs, administering medications, coordinating care with interdisciplinary teams, educating clients and families, and creating a safe, supportive environment that promotes recovery, wellness, and independence. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact, build strong relationships with clients, work alongside experienced behavioral health professionals, expand clinical skills, and support individuals on their journey toward recovery.

Requirements

  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Missouri
  • Ability to provide nursing services in accordance with professional standards of practice

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate nursing care and support to individuals receiving behavioral health and substance use disorder services
  • Assess clients' physical and emotional health needs and contribute to individualized treatment planning
  • Administer medications and monitor client progress, responses to treatment, and overall wellbeing
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care
  • Educate clients and family members about mental health conditions, treatment options, medications, and self-care strategies
  • Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams regarding client status, concerns, and treatment recommendations
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards
  • Promote a safe, supportive, and recovery-oriented environment that respects the dignity and individuality of each client
