Requirements
- A current license to practice as a licensed practical nurse in Nebraska or authority based on the Nurse Licensure Compact to practice as a licensed practical nurse in Nebraska is required.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge or experience working with patients with mental illness or psychiatric disorders.
- Valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation.
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to rapidly changing situations.
- Maintain professional boundaries and therapeutic working relationships.
- Work and function as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team.
Responsibilities
- Medication administration
- Documentation
- Initiate therapeutic interactions with patients
- Perform treatments
- Transcribe doctor's orders
- Evaluate physical health and emotional status of patients
- Perform assigned patient education
- Complete order entry
- Supply inventory and ordering; use of electronic medical record.
- Will be a contributing member of the interdisciplinary treatment team delivering holistic and individualized care to patients
