Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.
- High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive bedside care within the appropriate scope of practice.
- Contribute to the ongoing assessment of patient status and reporting findings promptly to the RN or Physician.
- Administer medication and maintain documentation.
- Perform essential laboratory tests and diagnostic clinical tasks as ordered.
- Assist in the coordination of discharge planning and patient/family education.
