About The Position

CODAC is seeking compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our Opioid Treatment Program (OTP). This role is ideal for nurses who enjoy building patient relationships, working in a fast-paced outpatient setting, and making a direct impact in the lives of individuals recovering from substance use disorders. As part of our multidisciplinary treatment team, you will play a vital role in medication dispensing, patient support, and promoting safe, effective treatment for our members. Requirements

  • Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Arizona.
  • Certified in Health Care Worker CPR and Life Saver First Aid.
  • Certifications & License are kept current and renewed prior to expiration date.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum one year of nursing experience, preferred. New graduates welcome!
  • Experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, corrections, community health, or outpatient care is a plus — but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Safely dispense methadone and other prescribed medications in accordance with State, Federal, DEA, and CODAC regulations.
  • Maintain accurate medication inventory, controlled substance counts, DEA logs, and dispensing documentation.
  • Monitor patients for medication reactions, withdrawal symptoms, behavioral changes, and overall wellness.
  • Collaborate closely with providers, counselors, pharmacy staff, and behavioral health professionals to support patient care.
  • Participate in patient screenings, assessments, and ongoing treatment support.
  • Collect and document urine drug screen specimens and results.
  • Assist in coordinating care with pharmacies, hospitals, correctional facilities, and outside treatment agencies.
  • Maintain compliance with all medication storage, security, and controlled substance requirements.
  • Provide compassionate, respectful, and nonjudgmental care to individuals in recovery.
  • Participate in team meetings, clinical collaboration, and program support activities.
