About The Position

We are hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Catalpa Health team. As an LPN with Catalpa Health, you will be an integral team member who helps us to deliver outstanding care for outpatient, pediatric psychiatry patients. Catalpa Health is a pediatric mental health non-profit organization serving over 7,800 children in the Fox Valley annually. Requirements

• Current license as an LPN in the state of WI
• Must have and maintain CPR and AED certification
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills so as to maintain strong, positive relationship with clients and team members.
• Ability to remain calm and reassuring in tense situations and to de-escalate crisis/urgent situations.
• Self-starter with strong multi-tasking abilities.
• Ability and dedication to working as team.
• Willing to provide support to fellow team members when needed.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
• Demonstrated ability to execute tasks in EPIC and related software.
• Thorough understanding of applicable ethical codes and standards.
• Thorough understanding of compliance measures related to HIPAA and patient health information.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and maintain orderly exam rooms.
• Review and prepare prescriptions for provider signature.
• Order labs and diagnostic testing.
• Monitors and process results with providers.
• Completes prior authorization paperwork for medication and other services.
• Ensures accuracy of electronic medical record related to patient care.
• Answer incoming patient calls and nursing pool messages.
• Triage calls and review with appropriate Physician/APNP
