Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Day shift | Helms Facility (Prison)
About The Position
Centurion Health partners with the Georgia Department of Corrections to provide comprehensive medical and behavioral healthcare services to individuals in custody. Our teams operate in structured, secure environments focused on consistency, safety, and quality patient care. Centurion Health is proud to be the provider of mental health and medical services for the Georgia Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our day shift team at Helms State Prison. This role is ideal for nurses who prefer day hours, competitive pay, and a structured clinical environment, without the constant interruptions and stress of traditional hospital settings.
Requirements
- Active LPN license in Georgia or compact license (must be in good standing)
- Current CPR certification (must be active)
- Required experience in one or more of the following: Behavioral Health, ER, Med-Surg, or Correctional Healthcare
- Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a structured, team-oriented environment
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care within scope of practice
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to RN or provider
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members
- Follow all clinical protocols, safety procedures, and facility policies
