About The Position

Our Nursing team is looking for a night shift PRN nurse to join their team! Available PRN Schedule: 10:45pm-7:15am. Our PRN Nursing team members must commit to a minimum of 32 hours per month with 16 of those hours being worked on weekends - during their assigned shift. Outside of the minimum requirement, PRN team members can pick up additional hours on other shifts (if available). Messiah Lifeways is a non-profit organization located in Mechanicsburg, PA, that provides a network of services for adults, 55 and better living in South Central PA. Our roots trace back to 1896, when the Brethren in Christ Church founded Messiah Home in Harrisburg, PA, to serve older adults with Christ-like love.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
LPN / RN Licensures

One (1) year Clinical Experience

Responsibilities

Assure the quality and continuity of resident care.
Supervise the performance of all members of the nursing care team on a designated Neighborhood and shift.
Cooperate in providing a safe and pleasant environment and maintaining a high level of morale for residents and nursing personnel.
Initiate disciplinary procedures as needed for staff.
Establish and maintain effective interdepartmental working relationships and promote guest relations.
Arrange for scheduling of appointments and transportation of residents to other departments or outside appointments.
Observe and evaluate symptoms and conditions of residents and assure that families and physicians are updated and physician orders are followed.
Plan, implement, and see to completion the resident’s plan of care. This plan is written on admission with continuous revisions.
