The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is primarily responsible for providing direct, quality clinical care and the supervision of nursing assistants working with residents assigned to each unit. This role involves daily observation and evaluation of residents' physical and emotional status, identifying problems and emergencies, and initiating immediate lifesaving measures when necessary. The LPN will also assist in monitoring medical supplies and equipment, perform administrative duties, and report occupational exposures according to facility policies.
