About The Position

Join Foothills Retirement Community as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and help create a warm, homelike environment for residents. As part of Presbyterian Communities of South Carolina (PCSC), the mission is to enrich the lives of seniors and team members through core values: Service, Excellence, Relationships, Teamwork, and Stewardship. This is a part-time position with a schedule of Mon/Tues the first week and Wed/Thurs the following week, repeating. The role involves providing compassionate, individualized care, monitoring residents, supervising care staff, administering medications, completing documentation, communicating with residents and families, and assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers. The position requires maintaining clinical competency and upholding professional standards, with the ability to work weekends, holidays, and according to resident needs.

Requirements

• Valid LPN license in the state of South Carolina
• 1–2 years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Current CPR certification
• Proficiency with basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, individualized care according to residents' care plans
• Perform regular rounds and monitor residents’ conditions throughout the shift
• Supervise and direct other care staff
• Communicate effectively with residents and families about care updates
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Complete documentation accurately and in compliance with regulations
• Notify physicians and families of significant resident condition changes
• Assist with resident admissions, discharges, and transfers
• Maintain clinical competency and uphold professional standards
• Able to work weekends, holidays, and according to resident needs
