About The Position

Park Place of Elmhurst is a 5-star Assisted Living Community located in Elmhurst, IL. We offer a continuum of care with the security of lifecare, including assisted living, short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and memory support on campus. We are seeking a hardworking professional Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a part-time position, working the 3PM-11:30PM shift. Park Place of Elmhurst is a member of the Providence Life Services family, dedicated to enhancing the lives of those we serve.

Requirements

Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Illinois.
Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical and Surgical setting.
Pass a physical, drug screen, 50-pound lift test, fingerprint for criminal background and complete the reference check.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in long-term care is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Provide resident and nursing care according to physician’s orders and in conformance with recognized nursing techniques and procedures, established standards, and administrative policies.
Maintain accurate and complete records of nursing observations and care.
Perform all functions in compliance with CDC, OSHA, JCAHO, State and Federal Regulatory bodies.
Communicate and interpret the goals of care to the resident and family/caregiver.
Provide direct nursing care to the clients and manage the day-to-day activities performed by Certified Nursing Assistants.
Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
Provide education and guidance to clients and their families on disease process and management.
Ensure adequate medical supplies are available to meet the medical needs of the patients.
Receive and review nursing report at the beginning of the shift and compile nursing report at the end of the shift.
Monitor vital signs in accordance with the resident’s treatment plan.
