About The Position
We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a Long-Term Care (LTC) facility in Dubuque, IA. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, person-centered care, chronic disease management, and daily assessments for residents in a supportive facility environment.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
- Active LPN license in the State of Iowa (or active Compact/NLC state license).
- Active CPR / BLS certification.
- 1+ years of experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts (Days, Evenings, and Nights).
- Strong communication with residents' families, multidisciplinary teams, and proficiency with EHR systems.
Nice To Haves
- Prior travel nursing experience.
- Hands-on experience with advanced wound care or palliative care principles.
Responsibilities
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and accurately document resident responses in the EHR.
- Perform routine procedures, wound care, and dressing changes following established care plans.
- Identify and report changes in resident condition to RNs, physicians, and family members.
- Support activities of daily living (ADLs) and rehabilitation plans in coordination with CNAs and therapists.
- Maintain strict safety protocols and uphold state and facility compliance standards.
