About The Position
Our Lady of Mercy Life Center (OLOM) is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for all shifts, including Days (7a-3p), Evenings (3p-11p), and Overnights (11p-7a). Both part-time and full-time positions are available. OLOM utilizes innovative technologies like Smart Cell Flooring to reduce patient falls and an Artificial Sky in the Memory Care unit to enhance resident well-being. The sub-acute unit offers opportunities to gain clinical experience and advance nursing practice. OLOM is a mission-driven organization that values dignity, respect, and self-worth in providing care.
Requirements
- Current New York State license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Nice To Haves
- 1-year experience as an LPN, preferably in a Skilled Nursing setting
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on nursing care under RN supervision
- Assist with treatments, procedures, and resident care activities
- Collaborate with the RN and interdisciplinary team to collect data and help establish care priorities
- Contribute to the development and communication of individualized care plans
- Administer medications and monitor IV therapy per established standards
- Uphold all nursing policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Offer compassionate support to residents and their families
