About The Position
The Care Group (TCG) is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join The Madison Care Centre Team in Coquitlam, BC. This is a permanent part-time position with a rotation of four (4) days on and two (2) days off, working the evening shift from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The wage is according to BCNU standards. The Madison Care Centre offers licensed and funded residential care to 137 clients, with 96 beds funded by the Fraser Health Authority. The facility, built in 2008, features primarily single and double rooms and is located near Como Lake in Coquitlam.
Requirements
- Registered and in good standing with BCCNM
- Current CPR/First Aid Certificate
- Competent in electronic documentation and eMar
- Fluent in English both verbal and written
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in Long Term Care
Responsibilities
- Resident admissions, discharges and transfers
- Resident assessments and care planning
- Administration of medications, treatments and wound care
- Working with electronic documentation (PointClickCare) and MDS Assessments
- Liaises with physicians, families and other members of the care team
- Delegates tasks to unregulated care providers
- Participates in Care Conferences and Medication reviews.
