UVVC is expanding into the New York Market with a new clinic in Massapequa Park, launching in Early 2027. This role requires travel out of state for up to 4 weeks to existing markets. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a crucial role in supporting safe, efficient, and patient-centered care within UVVC clinics. Working under the supervision of a physician, Advanced Practice Provider, or Registered Nurse, the LPN manages patient flow by promptly rooming patients, updating their status in the EHR, verifying patient information, and documenting vital signs, nursing observations, measurements, and clinical data. The LPN is responsible for preparing and maintaining exam and procedure rooms, including stocking and setup for sterile and non-sterile procedures. They participate in the Time Out process and assist clinicians with patient positioning, skin preparation, medication preparation and administration, adhering to state laws and organizational policies. The LPN upholds infection prevention and safety standards (CDC/OSHA), ensures patient privacy (HIPAA), and contributes to high-quality care through instrument processing, autoclave maintenance, inventory management, patient education, and reinforcing provider instructions. The role also involves completing required education, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures, floating between clinic locations, and supporting team members for efficient operations and exceptional patient care.
