About The Position
Bethany Village is looking for a dependable and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our skilled nursing team. The LPN plays an important role in providing quality care to residents while supporting the day-to-day operations of the nursing unit. The ideal candidate works well in a team environment, communicates effectively with residents and families, and is committed to providing excellent care in a long-term care setting. This position oversees aspects of care in accordance with physician's orders, resident, and family needs.
Requirements
- LPN license
- Dispensing meds and medical aspects.
Nice To Haves
- Previous charge and/or long-term care experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Coach & lead those staff members reporting to Charge LPN - work as one 'Team' to keep things running smoothly.
- Responsible for dispensing medications to residents.
- Charting & paperwork - Ensures all reporting requirements are met and completes all required paperwork; ie infection control, accident/incident reports, etc.
- Complete MDS+ on residents per assigned unit(s).
- Sterile technique / aseptic technique.
- Skin assessment, Decubitus Care, Dressings / Irrigations, Catheterization, Tropical applications.
- Assists with issues that arise while on duty.
- Assist with wing staff evaluations.
- Assist with physician rounds.
- Working with residents and staff.
- All other Duties as assigned.
