About The Position

Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH) is seeking compassionate and motivated full-time Licensed Practical Nurses to join their Virginia REACH team. This role supports individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) and mental health needs at a Crisis Therapeutic Home (CTH) in Staunton, VA. The position offers a $10,000 sign-on and retention bonus for full-time new hires. REACH Region I is now under new management with ESPH.

Requirements

• Current valid, unrestricted license as a Practical Nurse in the state of Virginia
• A valid driver's license and car insurance for occasional transportation to appointments

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of MH and I/DD systems of care preferred
• Experience in crisis prevention and intervention services preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate medical and nursing support to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and co-occurring behavioral health needs
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with clinical protocols
• Conduct nursing assessments
• Educate and empower individuals regarding their mental and physical health
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, person-centered care
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all nursing services and observations
• Uphold compliance with all regulatory and clinical care standards to ensure the highest quality of service
