About The Position

The Ross Manor campus provides three professional levels of care and support for residents including assisted living, skilled rehabilitation, and complete nursing care services. Under the ownership of First Atlantic Healthcare, Ross Manor follows in First Atlantic's long-standing reputation for excellence in Long Term Care. This position offers an hourly rate of $30.00 - $35.00 and a $3,000 hiring bonus. Ross Manor makes available an every weekend scheduling option to a nurse in the nursing department, with a limited number of these positions available. This program operates under specific guidelines regarding commitment to weekend shifts, definitions of weekend periods for 12hr and 8hr shifts, and compensation structure including differentials and overtime. Employees are permitted to work additional hours during non-weekend time at their regular base rate. Time off requests must be made in writing and approved. Termination of the agreement due to performance or attendance may result in non-renewal. First Atlantic Healthcare and/or Ross Manor reserve the right to terminate this program at any time. Two weeks' notice is required for schedule or shift assignment changes. All other First Atlantic Attendance Policies are also applicable. Opportunities are available for all levels of experience, including new Licensed Practical Nurse graduates.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Currently licensed as an LPN in Maine.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor resident’s vitals and record them in their file
  • Maintain the cleanliness and comfort of each resident, including bathing, feeding and dressing
  • Assist nursing and medical staff with basic medical tasks, such as administering medication
  • Update resident records in a confidential manner
  • Evaluate the resident’s wellbeing, reporting any needs to medical staff
  • Explain treatments and procedures to resident and families
  • Change dressings and bandages, ensuring residents are healing properly
  • Move residents from wheelchairs, beds and gurneys
