About The Position

We are currently looking for talented Licensed Practical Nurses to join our Mental Health Residential facility located in Woodward, Oklahoma. This position is responsible for providing direct and indirect professional nursing services in a variety of healthcare settings. Duties include conducting nursing assessments; developing and implementing care plans; providing nursing interventions and evaluations; delivering health-related education; coordinating case management; and carrying out medical regimens, including administering medications and treatments prescribed by individuals authorized to prescribe under state law.

Requirements

  • Possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a licensed practical nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing
  • Three (3) years of practical nursing experience (for Level III)
  • One (1) year of practical nursing experience (for Level II)
  • Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Perform direct and indirect nursing services, including obtaining and documenting patients’ temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician or authorized healthcare provider orders and applicable policies and regulations.
  • Perform a variety of technical nursing tasks to support the health and well-being of patients.
  • Monitor patients’ conditions and communicate significant changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of direct-care staff on the assigned unit.
  • Prepare, organize, and distribute medications on the unit in accordance with established medication administration procedures.
  • Provide patient education and support regarding health, medications, treatments, and care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation and records.
  • Follow established infection-control, safety, and patient-care standards.
