About The Position

This position is assigned responsibilities for providing direct or indirect professional nursing services in a variety of settings. This includes providing nursing assessments, planning, interventions, evaluations, health related education, case management, and execution of the medical regime including administering medications and treatments prescribed by any person authorized to prescribe by state law. The treatment philosophy is trauma sensitive, co-occurring, person-centered and recovery-oriented in nature.

Requirements

  • Possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a licensed practical nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.
  • Three (3) years of practical nursing experience (for Level III).
  • One (1) year of practical nursing experience (for Level II).
  • Must submit to a physical examination and meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds and able to push and pull a maximum force of 25 pounds.
  • Must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver’s license.
  • Applicants for safety sensitive positions shall be required to submit to urinalysis to test for drugs.

Responsibilities

  • Performing technical direct and indirect nursing such as taking temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, and medication administration.
  • Perform other technical nursing tasks in providing health care to patients and others.
  • Directs the activities of the direct care staff on the unit.
  • Preparing medication and distributing on the unit.
