About The Position

United Energy Workers Healthcare is seeking dedicated and empathetic Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join their team as 1099 Independent Contractors. This role involves providing in-home healthcare to energy workers, focusing on compassionate, whole-person care. Requirements

A valid and active LPN License in the state of practice.
A willingness to travel to patients' homes.
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Current BLS Certification.
Ability to pass a state & federal background check.
Malpractice Insurance is required.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
A warm, empathetic approach.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments to ensure personalized, comprehensive care.
Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) with dignity and respect.
Coordinate schedules directly with patients, aligning with their plan of care, approved hours, and personal preferences.
Monitor and promptly report any changes in patient symptoms or behavior.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by their treating physician.
Communicate with Case Managers and collaborating physicians or specialists to ensure a unified approach to patient care.
Maintain accurate patient logging in the EMR system.
Offer advice and emotional support to patients and their family members.
Prepare and provide clear, compassionate clinical notes and charting.
