About The Position
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Metro Reinvestment Center provides direct patient care and supports daily clinical operations within a structured correctional healthcare setting. This role is ideal for a nurse who values consistency, strong routines, and working within a collaborative, team-based environment. Centurion Health partners with the Georgia Department of Corrections to provide comprehensive medical and behavioral healthcare services to individuals in custody. Requirements
- 2 years of experience in behavioral health, correctional, or ER
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license | Compact (MSL) or Georgia (SL) | Must be active and valid
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or BLS | Must be active
- Ability to obtain security clearance via the GADOC, this may include drug screen and criminal background check
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care within scope of practice
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to RN or provider
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members
- Follow all clinical protocols, safety procedures, and facility policies
- Assist with intake, sick call, and chronic care clinics as needed
