About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse for its detox and residential treatment facility in Aurora, Colorado. This is a full-time position with overnight weekend shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., Friday through Sunday. The nurse provides medical care and documentation for clients receiving treatment and coordinates with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum one-year diploma program completed after high school.
• Current, valid LPN licensure in Colorado.
• Strong critical-thinking, oral communication, and written communication skills.
• Excellent collaboration, multitasking, and time-management skills.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in the treatment industry.

Responsibilities

• Complete a comprehensive medical assessment for each client upon admission.
• Perform nursing shift duties, including screening, taking vital signs, and scheduling appointments and laboratory work.
• Address pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations.
• Dispense medications and maintain medication logs.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation, review charts, and log medications for each client.
