About The Position

Lincoln Internal Medicine Associates (LIMA) is seeking a compassionate, dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their growing outpatient practice. This role involves building relationships with patients while working alongside experienced physicians, physician assistants, and a collaborative clinical team. LIMA has proudly served the Lincoln community for nearly 30 years as an independent physician-owned internal medicine practice, prioritizing a team that feels valued, respected, and supported.

Requirements

• Current Nebraska Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
• Current BLS certification
• Strong communication and computer skills

Nice To Haves

• Previous outpatient or primary care experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Administer medications and immunizations within LPN scope of practice
• Perform EKGs, spirometry, ear irrigations, and other clinical procedures
• Assist providers with examinations and treatments
• Process medication refill requests
• Communicate with patients regarding test results and provider recommendations
• Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, and follow-up appointments
• Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and preventive care
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records
• Support OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and quality initiatives
