Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Full Time, 9AM-5:30PM in Assistant Living
About The Position
Park Place of Elmhurst, a 5-star Assisted Living Community in Elmhurst, IL, is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team. This role is responsible for providing direct nursing care to clients and managing the daily activities of Certified Nursing Assistants. The LPN will administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, educate clients and families on disease management, and ensure adequate medical supplies are available. The position involves receiving and giving nursing reports at the beginning and end of shifts, respectively, and monitoring vital signs according to the resident's treatment plan.
Requirements
- Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Illinois.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical and Surgical setting.
- Pass a physical, drug screen, 50-pound lift test, fingerprint for criminal background and complete the reference check.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in long-term care is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to clients.
- Manage the day-to-day activities performed by Certified Nursing Assistants.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
- Provide education and guidance to clients and their families on disease process and management.
- Ensure adequate medical supplies are available to meet the medical needs of the patients.
- Receive and review nursing report at the beginning of the shift.
- Compile nursing report at the end of the shift.
- Monitor vital signs in accordance with the resident’s treatment plan.
