About The Position

Under the direction of the Practice Manager and medical provider, and in accordance with established policies and procedures, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides quality patient care to support optimal clinical outcomes. The LPN maintains patient confidentiality and demonstrates clinical competence through continuing education, departmental competencies, in-service training, and ongoing professional development. This role requires the ability to provide age-appropriate care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations, understanding growth and development across the lifespan. The position involves occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens, with potential contact with blood, body fluids, and tissues.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing.
  • Current New York State Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through RQI (must be obtained within 90 days of hire).
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Professional and courteous interaction with patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and promote teamwork through positive role modeling.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
  • Possesses an understanding of growth and development across the lifespan and the ability to assess and interpret patient information to meet age-specific care needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous physician office experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience using electronic medical records (EMR).
