About The Position
CorrectHealth is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the night shift in Covington, LA. This role involves participating in the clinical aspects of patient care within the correctional environment, working collaboratively with healthcare team members and law enforcement. The LPN will perform duties under the supervision of an RN, HSA, Mid Level Provider, or Physician, and must maintain the standards and ethics of nursing according to state regulations.
Requirements
- Graduate from a national or state approved school of nursing program.
- Holds and maintains a current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of employment.
- American Heart Association BLS certified.

- Corrections experience a plus.
Responsibilities
- Participates in the clinical aspects of patient care with all members of the healthcare team and law enforcement.
- Performs duties under the supervision of the RN, HSA, Mid Level Provider, Physician, or the administrative supervision of the HSC.
- Possesses knowledge and ability to provide quality care as well as respond to needs within the correctional environment.
- Maintains standard and ethics of nursing in accordance with applicable State Board of Nursing and other accrediting agencies.
