About The Position

The Bedford-Stuyvesant Family Health Center (BSFHC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that serves all of the primary health care needs of families in the heart of North and Central Brooklyn. Our mission is to provide the most professional, courteous and highest quality health care, with dignity, to those we serve, especially the undeserved population, without regard for ability to pay. In addition to operating the Health Centers, we operate in School-Based Health Centers to increase the accessibility and availability of quality primary and preventive physical and mental health care to pre-school, elementary, middle and secondary school students in high-risk areas of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Newly Licensed encouraged to apply. We provide on-the -job training. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK - Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm, Rotations to all locations, late nights to 7pm and Saturday Shifts, usually 1-2 times a month. Position Summary: We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. The LPN will provide clinical nursing function based on the needs of different department within the Center, assist practitioners and nurses with patient care, education and other nursing procedures as assigned in the clinical areas. Flexible with scheduling and location rotation as needed.

Requirements

• Degree/Certificate from an approved School of Practical Nursing.
• Valid LPN License in New York State
• One year of experience as LPN in a clinic based setting
• Willing to train
• Must be flexible with scheduling and open to location placement as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
