Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Temporary
About The Position
The Care Group (TCG) is seeking two Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join the team at The Madison Care Centre in Coquitlam, BC. One position is for medical leave coverage with a rotation of 4 days on, 2 days off, including day and evening shifts, for approximately 3 months. The second position is for maternity leave coverage with a rotation of 4 days on, 2 days off, consisting of straight day shifts. The Madison Care Centre offers licensed and funded residential care to 137 clients, with 96 beds funded by the Fraser Health Authority, and also offers private pay rooms. The facility was built in 2008 and is located near Como Lake.
Requirements
- Registered and in good standing with BCCNM
- Current CPR/First Aid Certificate
- Competent in electronic documentation and eMar
- Fluent in English both verbal and written
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in Long Term Care Preferred
Responsibilities
- Resident admissions, discharges and transfers
- Resident assessments and care planning
- Administration of medications, treatments and wound care
- Working with electronic documentation (PointClickCare) and MDS Assessments
- Liaises with physicians, families and other members of the care team
- Delegates tasks to unregulated care providers
- Participates in Care Conferences and Medication reviews.
