About The Position

Minden Medical Center is seeking a well-organized, energetic LPN/CMA for our Cardiology Clinic who can thrive in a fast-paced setting while supporting safe, high-quality patient care. In this role, you’ll partner with providers and teammates to deliver efficient clinic flow, accurate documentation, and compassionate service.

Requirements

• Current Louisiana LPN license required
• Comfort with common clinic equipment and systems (e.g., spirometer, glucometer, Athena Software)

Nice To Haves

• Five years’ experience in a physician’s office preferred

Responsibilities

• Patient intake and basic clinical services
• Assisting with ordered treatments and procedures
• Administering medications per protocol
• Preparing injections and performing phlebotomy/lab tests as requested
• Supporting medication refills and charge capture in the EMR
• Managing clinical messages with timely escalation
• Helping maintain supplies, privacy, and a clean, safe environment
• Preparing exam rooms and reviewing the day’s schedule
• Keeping documentation current
• Monitoring the clinical inbox for anything urgent
• Coordinating quick follow-up
• Balancing hands-on patient interactions with behind-the-scenes accuracy
• Double-checking results before day’s end
• Keeping supplies organized for the next clinic session
• Ensuring the workspace stays tidy and patient information protected
• Supporting other providers as needed
• Staying calm and steady when unexpected issues arise
