Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Current, active license as an LPN.
Current CPR Certification.
Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information in the English language.
Must be easily understood through verbal communication in the English language.
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement and weight measurement.
Must have empathy along with exceptional communication and customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience in long term geriatric nursing care.

Responsibilities

Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, and treatments.
Record time spent performing individual treatments in accordance with ancillary services policy.
Ensure proper storage and security of prescription drugs and biologicals.
Notify the physician of refusal of medication/treatments, non-compliance with a treatment plan, and resident response to medication regime, including prompt notification of any adverse reactions.
Keep medication cart, refrigerator, and room neat, clean, and medication stored properly.
Ensure the correct disposal of all sharps.
Key information into computer systems including EMR.
Practice, implement, and supervise Infection Control, Universal Precaution, and safety policies and procedures.
React appropriately to emergency and disaster situations.
Perform other duties as necessary and assigned.
