About The Position
Park Place of Elmhurst, a 5-star Assisted Living Community in Elmhurst, IL, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a part-time position, working the 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM shift. As a member of the Providence Life Services family, we are dedicated to enhancing the lives of those we serve.
Requirements
- Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Illinois.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical and Surgical setting.
- Pass a physical, drug screen, 50-pound lift test, fingerprint for criminal background and complete the reference check.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in long-term care is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to clients.
- Manage the day-to-day activities performed by Certified Nursing Assistants.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
- Provide education and guidance to clients and their families on disease process and management.
- Ensure adequate medical supplies are available to meet patient medical needs.
- Receive and review nursing report at the beginning of the shift and compile nursing report at the end of the shift.
- Monitor vital signs in accordance with the resident’s treatment plan.
