Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Full Time Day Shift
About The Position
Southridge Behavioral Hospital is a beautiful and new state-of-the-art facility, serving as a joint venture between Trinity Health System and Universal Health Services. The hospital accommodates up to 96 adult and geriatric patients across four units. We are committed to providing exceptional patient care through our caring, dedicated, and valued staff. Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing.
- Basic understanding of psychiatric nursing theory, and practice, with previous psychiatric clinical experience desired.
- Demonstrated clinical competency in providing general nursing care.
- Current LPN Licensure in the State of Michigan Required.

Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care according to nursing care plans and the patient’s treatment plan.
- Participates with other personnel in maintaining a safe and therapeutic milieu.
- Assists with behavior management, crisis control, seclusion and restraint, under the direction of the registered nurse.
- Partners with RN with patient admissions and discharges.
- Administers medication and treatments to patients.
- Assists with medication education, informed consent and monitoring the effectiveness and efficacy of medications.
- Documents the administration of medications and treatments according to policies and procedures.
