About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides care and directs the staff to follow the resident plan of care as determined by the Head Nurse. We are committed to providing preventative and restorative care to all residents and clients here at Rockingham County. Requirements

• Must be a graduate of a state approved school of nursing.
• Possess a valid New Hampshire LPN License.
• Must possess qualities of leadership.
• Must have a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
• Must possess ability to work harmoniously with others and delegate authority wisely.
• Mandatory post offer physical and drug testing for new hire.
• Criminal records check required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, assign, and evaluate the work performance of LNA’s on the unit assigned.
• Identify any educational opportunities.
• Perform and sign drug counts at the change of shift.
• Assess, identify, and report any changes in resident status.
• Assume responsibility for all aspects of care related to admissions, transfers, or discharges.
• Follow all established safety and infection control policies/procedures.
• Oversee all documentation/reporting in accordance with Rockingham County policy standards and State/Federal requirements.
