In collaboration with the interdisciplinary team and under the supervision of the professional Registered Nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides skilled nursing care and administers medications to patients. This role involves participating in the nursing process, giving direct nursing care, and contributing to the patient's plan of care. The LPN performs patient data collection, administers medications and treatments, and performs phlebotomy services. They also contribute to the evaluation of patient responses to care, recognize changes in patient condition, and adhere to safety and infection control procedures. The LPN accepts accountability for the delivery of care and complies with HIPPA and OSHA policies.
