About The Position
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs a variety of patient care activities and assists the provider and nursing staff to maintain the highest standard of practice in accordance with state licensure regulations. They are responsible for restocking supplies in the work area and maintaining a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of practical or vocational nursing program.
- Currently licensed as an LPN in the State of Missouri.
- BLS certification.
- Skill in taking vital signs, history, attention to detail, patient education and instruction, and multi-tasking.
- Skill in establishing and effective working relationships with patients, physicians, staff and the public.
- Ability to maintain quality control standard.
- Ability to maintain calm and effective reactions during emergency situations.
- Ability to communicate clearly, as well as understanding and responding to detailed oral and written instructions.
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of patient care activities.
- Assists the provider and nursing staff to maintain the highest standard practice of care in accordance with state licensure regulations.
- Restocking of supplies in the work area.
- Maintaining a safe working environment.
- Assume responsibility for professional growth and development.
- Learn and efficiently utilize diagnostic equipment, electronic systems for ordering, medical records and other common computer programs.
