We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Clinic LPN who is dedicated to delivering high-quality care and improving patient outcomes. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Clinic Leadership, contributes to the assessment and care of pediatric patients by collecting and documenting patient information for review by the RN or provider. Assists with developing and implementing individualized plans of care and provides education to patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, preventive care, and healthy lifestyle practices. Supports patients in achieving optimal health outcomes while fostering a welcoming, safe, and child-friendly environment. Collaborates with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care and positive patient experiences.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a Practical Nursing program.
  • Current LPN to practice in the state.
  • BLS required

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Pediatric Clinic experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
  • Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care; may administer medication.
  • Documents patient care provided.
  • Assists RN with development of plan of care.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Monitors, documents, and communicates patient status and responses to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and family.
  • Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
  • Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
