Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Ortho & Rheumatology
About The Position
Southwoods Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for their Ortho & Rheumatology department. This full-time position offers a unique work-life balance with a Monday-Friday schedule, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, with the role split between the Boardman office (Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri) and the Howland office (Thu). The position emphasizes high-quality patient care without the burden of evenings, weekends, or holidays. The LPN will manage clinical phone lines, triage inquiries, relay results, schedule procedures and follow-ups, process prescription refills, and maintain a professional environment compliant with HIPAA, OSHA, and TJC standards.
Requirements
- Current Ohio LPN license
- AHA BLS certification
- 1+ years of direct patient care experience
- Experience with EMR systems
- Talent for multitasking with empathy
Nice To Haves
- 3+ years of experience in a physician office or ambulatory setting
Responsibilities
- Manage clinical phone lines, triage inquiries, and relay results to patients.
- Schedule procedures and follow-ups, ensuring all records are ready for hospital cases.
- Process prescription refills accurately via EMR.
- Maintain a professional environment and ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and TJC standards.
