About The Position

The purpose of this position is to provide nursing care to our Plastic Surgery patients. The RN or LPN has contact with patients, patient families and visitors, hospital employees, referral agencies, volunteers, administration, and physicians. Effective interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this position. You’ll have the opportunity to help patients in all stages of life and make meaningful connections every day. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing (for LPNs).
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (for RNs).
Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to perform within the registered nurse scope of practice (for RNs).
Ability to perform within the nursing scope of practice (for LPNs).
Current Healthcare Provider level CPR certification upon hire or must be obtained within six months.
Successful completion of the pre-employment health screening.
Reliable attendance and ability to work at the clinic site as scheduled, including travel to other clinic sites.
Current Minnesota LPN Licensure (for LPNs).
Current Minnesota RN Licensure (for RNs).
CPR Certificate.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.

BSN hires are eligible for an extra $1/hour.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to Plastic Surgery patients.
Delegate and supervise nursing care consistent with professional standards and the scope of practice as defined by the Minnesota Board of Nursing (for RNs).
Perform nursing care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice registered nurse, or provider, consistent with the LPN scope of practice defined by the Minnesota Board of Nursing (for LPNs).
