The Phone Nurse is responsible for coordinating and managing patient care while providing exceptional clinical support and customer service. This role requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Requirements

Proficient verbal and written communication skills
Current Healthcare Provider level CPR certification upon hire or must be obtained within six months
Successful completion of the pre-employment health screening
Reliable attendance and ability to work at the clinic site as scheduled, including travel to other clinic sites
Verified completion of an MA diploma/program with proof of current certification as an MA if certification received from the diploma/program (for MA applicants)
Current CPR certification (Healthcare Provider level) (for MA applicants)
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing (for MA applicants)
Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing (for LPN applicants)
Ability to perform within the nursing scope of practice (for LPN applicants)
Current Minnesota LPN Licensure (for LPN applicants)
CPR Certificate (for LPN applicants)
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing (for LPN applicants)
Only internal Lake Region Healthcare RNs will be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

Coordinating and managing patient care
Providing exceptional clinical support and customer service
Performing delegated clinical and administrative tasks under the supervision of a licensed provider or nurse in accordance with established protocols, competencies, and organizational policies (for MA applicants)
Performing nursing care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice registered nurse, or provider, consistent with the LPN scope of practice defined by the Minnesota Board of Nursing (for LPN applicants)
