About The Position
Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a Medical-Surgical unit in Lewiston, Maine. This is a 12-week assignment with night shifts available. The role involves providing direct patient care, monitoring patient status, administering medications and treatments, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure patient safety and optimal care outcomes. Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.
- IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification required
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- One (1) year of LPN Med Surg experience required.
Responsibilities
- Provide bedside patient care in a Med-Surg environment
- Monitor vital signs, patient status, and clinical changes
- Assist with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws
- Support care plans and patient throughput
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and compliance
- Document care in EMR/EHR systems
- Communicate changes in patient condition promptly
