About The Position

Provide compassionate, quality care to employees. Provide direct first aid care to employees at the site according to the medical directives within the scope of practice and State and National regulations. Adhere to health management policies, protocol, medical directives, and physician standing orders according to the scope of the practice. Adhere to state and federal regulations including OSHA, Worker’s Compensation, etc. Adhere to HIPPA compliance of confidentiality of employee’s personal medical information. Establish and maintain good working relationships with departmental staff, complex management, supervisory staff, and local health care providers.

Requirements

  • High School Degree / GED equivalency required
  • Associates Degree of Nursing or Diploma Nursing Degree Required
  • Must be able to read and write in English
  • Basic computer skills
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience
  • Current LVN/LPN license in the state of application
  • Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to carry, lift and maneuver first aid response bag (weighing between 25-30 lbs), back board, stretcher, AED, wheel chair, and any other medical necessities when responding to an incident.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and assist in departmental medical record upkeep
  • Provide appropriate documentation of all care provided in a professional and effective manner.
  • Perform Drug and Alcohol screening for Powered Industrial Truck operators, as requested.
  • Conduct annual hearing testing for facility employees.
  • Assist in conducting daily restrictive duty checks.
  • Must maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Notify Occupational Health Manager and designee of any pertinent physical and emotional changes of symptoms presented.
  • Must be flexible with work schedule.
  • Assist in the training of new employees, production, and maintenance at all levels in compliance programs.
  • Help to perform job duties within the Safety and Occupational Health department as needed.
  • Assist in projects as needed within the department.
  • Other duties as assigned
