About The Position

Support the care team by performing clinical and administrative tasks that are vital to patient care. Licensed Practical Nurses must adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines to ensure patient safety and confidentiality. They are expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and compassion during all interactions. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you’ll play a vital role in the care team – supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day. As a key member of the ambulatory care team, you will: Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings. Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures. Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing. Document care accurately in the electronic health record. Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care. Obtain prior authorization for medications and diagnostic testing, Assist in E.R. transfers.

Requirements

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state in which the team member practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 45 days unless department leader has determined it is not required.
  • LPN: Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Practical Nursing
