About The Position

These roles provide direct patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses or other Medical Professionals. These positions primarily focus on assisting patients with activities of daily living while also monitoring vital signs and reporting any changes in patient condition. They also play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients. These roles are responsible for providing direct patient care, ongoing education and reinforcement of care plans, and providing general support under the direction or supervision of the patient’s physician or LIP/RN designee in accordance with policy, procedure, and competency to promote patient health and wellness. Individual contributors with responsibility in a clinical discipline or specialty. Typically involves diagnosing, treating, and caring for patients, and often include face-to-face interactions with patients. May also spend some time designing and implementing clinical programs, policies, and services using specialized knowledge and skills. Specialty license or certification required which is acquired through advanced education, training and/or experience. This career stream will be most commonly applied to patient care and/or scientific/laboratory technologist jobs. Requires basic knowledge of job procedures and tools obtained through work experience and require vocational or technical education. Works under moderate supervision. Problems are typically of a routine nature but may at times require interpretation or deviation from standard procedures. Communicates information that requires some explanation or interpretation.

Requirements

  • Graduated from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse Program.
  • Licensed to practice as a Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Commonwealth of Virginia prior to onboarding.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
  • Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to write legibly.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • May require a valid Virginia Driver's License (VADL).
