Licensed Practical Nurse - LPN - Continuous Care - PM shift
About The Position
Under physician’s orders and RN supervision, the Continuous Care (CC) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for the observation of patient/family needs and providing supportive care and emotional support to the patient/family unit in times of crisis in order to maximize patient comfort and enhance quality of life. The LPN provides continuous bed-side clinical observations, prescribed care, physical, and emotional support to patients as directed in plan of care, reporting significant changes in patient condition and family needs as needed. The LPN also accepts and processes physician orders in collaboration with the RN to maximize patient comfort.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved nursing program
- Current Florida LPN license
- Minimum one year experience in an acute care setting, providing direct patient care
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a hospice LPN preferred
