You will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care. As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a Practical Nursing program.
  • Current LPN to practice in the state.
  • BLS required

  • Previous Orthopedic Clinic experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
  • Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care; may administer medication.
  • Documents patient care provided.
  • Assists RN with development of plan of care.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Monitors, documents, and communicates patient status and responses to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and family.
  • Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
  • Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
