About The Position

Eventide on Eighth Care Center is seeking a Part-time LPN to work NOC shifts. This position involves 12-hour shifts (6:30 pm - 7:00 am) with every third holiday rotation. Eventide offers reimbursement for the fee to acquire a border state license upon hire for ND nurses. Additionally, there is a $5/hour NOC shift differential and a $2.00/hour Weekend shift differential added to the base wage. Requirements

  • Active MN LPN license or ability to obtain upon hire
  • Experience in Long Term Care preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Assess residents’ needs and health status through physical assessments, observations, and interviews.
  • Provide individual attention to encourage residents' highest physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
  • Observe and follow residents’ plans of care, updating and making changes as necessary.
  • Administer medications and treatments and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Provide direct nursing care to residents as needed and according to established policies.
  • Comply with rules and regulations set forth by the Minnesota or North Dakota Department of Health and the Center for Medicare/Medicaid services.
  • Provide accurate documentation in residents’ electronic medical records.
  • Assist in the orientation and training of new team members.
  • Report resident needs, problems, and observations to the Charge Nurse and/or attending physician.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels for a scheduled shift and correct inadequate staffing.
  • Monitor the activities and functions of subordinate staff, potentially participating in the disciplinary process.
  • Ensure work responsibilities of subordinate staff are completed thoroughly and accurately.
  • Provide information, education, and support for assigned residents and their families.
  • Communicate resident needs to resident care staff.
  • Interact with physicians and other health care facilities as needed.
  • Continually update nursing skills and knowledge by attending in-services, continuing education programs, and staff meetings.
  • Coordinate and participate in resident care conferences and communicate information effectively to families.
  • Assume responsibility for promptly reporting any incidents or evidence of abuse, neglect, or violation of residents’ rights per policy.
  • Manage electronic timecards daily.
  • Carry out or assist with other tasks as occasionally required.
