At Highland Springs, our 72-bed inpatient behavioral health team provides compassionate, holistic care to adults aged 18+ facing mental health crises. We are a collaborative, multidisciplinary group committed to trauma-informed care and reducing stigma in a supportive environment. As an LPN/LVN, you will deliver high-quality general and psychiatric nursing care under RN supervision. You will support patients treated for substance abuse, dual diagnosis, or emotional disorders. In this role, you will actively collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and well-being.

Requirements

  • Current Ohio LPN or LVN license
  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse program
  • BLS and Deescalation certifications required within 30 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year in psychiatric health care facility preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that individual patient observation/checks are conducted
  • Medications are administered safely and accurately with demonstrated knowledge of indications and side effects
  • Documentation adequately reflects acuity (physical and emotional status)
  • Response to interventions and progress toward goals
  • Communicate patient’s response to interventions to Interdisciplinary Treatment Team and daily report
  • Will interact with patients and groups of patients to enhance communication and delivery of quality care
  • Orient patient/family to program
  • Explain and enforce patient rights and act as the patient’s advocate and assure that patient rights are upheld; able to preserve confidentiality
